Pierre Delaigue
Engineering Project Manager
In short I have 10 years combined experience in the automotive engineering field both for the public and private sectors. My previous experiences also include a mix of technical and management positions.
At Renault, I am currently responsible for a team of 8 people in charge of coordinating the vehicle certification testing activities for all Renault vehicles worldwide. My group is also reponsible to synchronize testing activities with production control teams.
In this position, I developed efficient management skills and acquired an expertise in quality standards and testing best practices. Furthermore, I am standing up to my hands-on and engineering profile with daily technical challenges brought by testing activities.
Previous to that, I worked 6 years in the field of automotive active safety as a Research Scientist at the Center for Intelligent Systems Research in Washington, D.C. My overall responsibility was to conduct research projects funded by US DOT agencies (NHTSA, FHWA or FMCSA) on a variety of vehicle safety topics. My active contribution to the research projects was extensive and started from the new business opportunity stage with proposal writing, then leading the technical research and presenting final conclusions to sponsors. I was also in charge of operating high-end testing equipment, conducting complex experiments, analyzing test results and drawing conclusions.
