For more than 20 years, Thomas Jurbala of Las Vegas has been a developer of assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care facilities. He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Dedicated to expanding his knowledge, he completed the executive business program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University. Less than a decade after earning an MBA, Thomas Jurbala of Las Vegas became the owner of Red Vistas Development. During this time, he developed and operated more than a dozen senior living communities on the West Coast of the United States. He also developed various hotels in Washington, Idaho, and Nevada. In 2015, Jurbala accepted his current role of director of senior housing at the Calida Group. In this capacity, he manages ground-up development opportunities for senior living facilities and identifies new acquisition opportunities. He is overseeing the development of the 121-bed skilled nursing facility Horizon Ridge Rehabilitation Center, to be completed in 2017. Throughout his career, Thomas Jurbala has been involved with such projects as Willow Creek, Port Orchard Senior Living, and South Bay Villas Laughlin.
