Tabber Benedict is a Columbia University-educated lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities and capital markets as well as fund investment transactions. Based in New York City, Tabber Benedict is currently self employed and, in addition to his legal work, he provides advisory and consulting services to start-ups and private companies from in the early and late stages of development. Tabber Benedict has worked on transactions that in the aggregate are valued at over $28 billion.

Prior to his current employment, Tabber Benedict worked with ACE Group, an international insurance company. He was employed in the legal department of ACE for three and a half years from March 2008 until June 2011 as Vice President & Counsel. Drawing on nearly a decade of legal experience, Tabber Benedict's work at ACE focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions (domestic, international, public and private). Tabber Benedict also managed securities, capital markets and general corporate matters as well as hedge fund, private equity fund and alternative transaction investment deals. Tabber Benedict is a skilled negotiator, and assisted ACE clients closing deals and obtaining regulatory approvals of deals. Within the company, Mr. Benedict provided advice for senior executives, designed a range of standard agreements for company use, and trained colleagues during the early stages of the transactional process.

In his capacity at ACE , Tabber Benedict provided legal assistance in the area of corporate governance for ACE Group, which included drafting resolutions passed by the board of directors for annual proxy, general, and special meetings. Mr. Benedict was instrumental in the redomestication of ACE from the Cayman Islands to Switzerland. Additionally, he was responsible for implementing the ACE dividend process from the time of redomestication in 2008.

A lawyer in good standing in his community, Tabber Benedict holds memberships in the New York State and American Bar Associations.
