Stewart Strawbridge founded Selkirk Partners, a global long short equity investment firm, in 2008. As a Managing Member, he leads the company with the goal of providing clients with high-quality, risk-adjusted, lasting returns. To achieve these returns, he focuses on emerging companies with promising business models and products, and performs in-depth analysis that addresses long-term market trends. This investment strategy has allowed Stewart Strawbridge and the other principals at Selkirk Partners to consistently outperform their competitors during the first five years of the company's history.
Some of Stewart Strawbridge's contributions at the firm include stock selection, risk controls, business and marketing strategy development, and portfolio management, along with other administrative and research functions. He offers clients more than a decade of hedge fund and private equity experience and maintains credentials as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). To remain current in his field, he holds professional memberships with several organizations and societies, including the Philadelphia Security Analyst Society and the CFA Institute.
Outside of his industrial initiatives, Stewart Strawbridge contributes on the board at Lyotropics, Inc., a biotechnology company that serves the medical research industry. He also sits on the Brandywine River Museum and Conservancy board, the Natural Resources Council of Maine board, and the Bowdoin College Presidents Visiting Committee.
