    A recent graduate of the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina, Sherif Mohamed El-Refai currently serves as a Pharmacist in Jersey City, New Jersey. Sherif El-Refai focuses on serving the patient population of his local community while actively increasing his knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Since establishing his interests in the medical field, Sherif Mohamed El-Refai has been passionate about all aspects of cancer treatment. He hopes to become an expert in chemotherapy. Prior to achieving his current position as a Pharmacist in Jersey City, Sherif Mohamed El-Refai completed a clerkship at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina, where he focused on issues related to ICU Trauma. His most recent training in the pharmaceutical field also includes clerkships at CarolinaEast Medical Center, the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospitals, and Bernstein Center Pharmacy. These clerkships covered such areas as Clinical Pathways in Oncology, Inpatient Medicine, Ambulatory Care, and Hematology/Oncology. Sherif Mohamed El-Refai is a member of several professional organizations, including the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, the American Pharmacists Association, and the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. While completing his Doctor of Pharmacy, he served as a member of the Carolina Association of Pharmacy Students. Sherif Mohamed El-Refai holds professional certification for Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery and is also Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certified. Sherif El-Refai enjoys staying active by participating in professional and community service projects. Most recently, he contributed volunteer service at the Physicians Flu Clinic at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. In 2009, he participated in a medical mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
