• Hired to take the company to IPO, I completed a number of project activities to re-engineer several processes and the ICT strategy.
• When financial market conditions made it unfeasible to IPO, I remained with System Group to enhance other KPIs.
• From and ICT point of view: data center virtualization, SAP, CRM and PLM developments and roll-outs, high-speed wireless data transmission infrascture, all building a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals in-house.
2000-2006: COMAU ( www.comau.com ) - CIO
• Responsibility for +$50mln budget and 100 people in-house and large outsourcing to IBM and BT
• Developed Spend Analysis and deveral procurement support tools for Group (Fiat)

• Roberto is founder and adviser for all ICT and marketing activities of this new America’s Cup consortium.
• Amongst his achievements the web site, several international publications and conferences, and the reportage and broadcasting by CNN International.
• Roberto has also gained much experience in raising funds and negotiating sponsorship contracts with companies that share the values of this America’s Cup adventure.

2000 - 20062000-2006: COMAU ( www.comau.com ) – Chief Information Officer
• CIO of the world leading supplier of industrial automation systems and engineering services for the automotive industry, with 1.3bln Euro turnover and 13,000 employees.
• Roberto was in charge of all Information Communication Technology (ICT) related strategies, compliance (i.e. SOX), developments and service management. Responsibilities extended to Merger & Acquisition and non-ICT negotiations.
• Roberto managed an ICT spending in excess of 50mln Euro and an organization that counts some 100 professionals in-house, spread mostly in Europe, USA, Brazil and with relevant presence in South Africa and China. Outsourced workforce amounts to some 180 other people.
• Roberto’s professional contribution was also devoted to the larger Fiat Group ICT arena for the specific tasks of negotiating with key suppliers and for the program management of large SAP initiatives.
• After joining Comau as ICT Demand Manager, Roberto has progressed through to the current responsibilities in view of the impact on the P&L achieved to date, relevant for both cost reduction and new leads and revenues generation, also by means of co-marketing initiatives with IT vendors.
