Professor, researcher, and clinician in psychiatry and neurosurgery, Robert Buchanan, MD, has published extensively in his fields, and is in high demand for his talents as a lecturer. Through his practice at the Seton Brain and Spine Institute in Austin, Texas and his research as an Associate Professor of the University of Texas at Austin’s Center for Neuroscience, Dr. Buchanan stays constantly abreast of the latest developments in his fields. His subspecialties encompass deep brain stimulation and the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, brain tumors, dystonia, epilepsy, and other disorders of the spine, brain, and peripheral nervous system. The ongoing funded research that Robert Buchanan, MD, pursues includes a study of epileptic electrophysiology in the brain.
