    Radiation oncology expert Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani has addressed the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Brachytherapy Society, and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiation & Oncology. He also delivered a presentation at an American Head & Neck Society symposium and participated in a poster discussion at the 2009 annual meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology. In 2011, Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani served as an invited speaker at the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists Region I meeting, where he covered the topic of “Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Oligometastatic Disease to the Liver.” Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani has also co-authored a number of articles in professional publications, on such topics as salvage prostate seed implantation, recurrent cancer, intra-operative dosimetry technique, and optimized prostate brachytherapy. His collaborative work has appeared in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, the International Journal of Radiation Oncology - Biology - Physics, and The Journal of Urology. Additionally, Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani contributed to “Head and Neck Cancer Patient Similarity Based on Anatomical Structural Geometry” for the 4th IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging: From Nano to Macro. Board certified in radiology, Dr. Rizwan Nurani holds memberships in the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Brachytherapy Society, and the CyberKnife Society. Dr. Nurani obtained his Doctor of Medicine and fulfilled a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he became Chief Resident. Dr. Rizwan Nurani earned several honors for his work as a student and resident, including a University of Washington Neurological Surgery Research Fellowship, an American Brachytherapy Society Resident Travel Award, and an RSNA R&E Foundation Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. In 2010, Dr. Rizwan Nurani joined the CyberKnife multi-institutional trials at Multicare Regional Cancer Center at Tacoma General Hospital in Washington as Principal Investigator.
