    Dedicated philanthropist Richard Lublin supports cancer research efforts that improve the lives of those with the disease. Most recently, Richard and Jane Lublin contributed the first philanthropic gift to the University of Connecticut Health Center’s Bioscience Connecticut Initiatives. In recognition of their dedication to the fight against cancer, the University of Connecticut announced that it would award him and his wife the Neag Medal of Honor. UCONN will also name the waiting room of the new cancer center in their honor. The benefactors have also donated to other establishments like Hartford Hospital and Lahey Clinic. Besides his commitment to supporting cancer treatment and research, Richard Lublin is an established actor, having appeared on such television shows as Rescue Me, Ally McBeal, Law and Order and Frazier. He has also appeared in films with prominent performers like Ethan Hawke and Albert Finney. He received his B.A. from Duke University in 1961. Mr. Lublin remained involved with his alma mater through the funding of teaching awards and scholarships and as a guest lecturer. After graduating from Cornell Law School, Richard Lublin began a distinguished career as a lawyer and was a founding partner of a prestigious law firm in Connecticut.
