    Summary

    Notable for his achievements as a writer, teacher, and police officer, Richard Romano is currently finishing his second book, Sergeant Romano’s Investigation of the Homicide of Jesus Christ. Also a screenwriter, he wrote The Investigator, the story of a man’s journey of faith and discovery. The Investigator explores elements of Richard Romano’s own experiences as a police sergeant and teacher at a Christian high school. Some of his other creative work includes Raymie, Dickie, and the Bean, a children’s book he co-wrote with his brothers Ray and Robert. A faculty member at Smithtown Christian School and Our Savior High School on Long Island, Mr. Romano serves as a dean, teacher, college counselor, and baseball coach. Before starting his career in education, Mr. Romano worked as a sergeant in the New York City Police Department, where he served for more than 20 years. He holds a BS in criminal justice from St. John’s University.
