Ravichandra Tandra

Ravichandra Tandra offers a combination of technical and interpersonal skills as a Software Engineer for Buccaneer, a General Dynamics company located in northern Virginia. Self motivated, Ravichandra Tandra builds and maintains positive working relationships with a variety of individuals, including peers, clients, and collaborators. He uses effective communication and presentation skills, as well as analytical prowess, to achieve his goals.

As a computer science professional, Ravichandra Tandra holds expertise in a number of programs, including Oracle Business Intelligence, DB2 and SQL Server, and several versions of MicroStrategy. He enjoys familiarity with Microsoft operating systems ranging from NT through XP Professional. Last year, he completed a course in data modeling; presently, he pursues learning about successful collaboration through poised human relationships.

Before joining his current firm, Ravichandra Tandra spent four years as a MicroStrategy Consultant who advised clients such as eBay Inc.; Bank of America, N.A.; and Edifice Technologies. He holds Master’s degrees in Computer Science through Sam Houston State and Colorado Technical Universities. He began his education in India, where he earned a Bachelor of Technology from Guru Nanak Engineering College.

Ravichandra Tandra believes in giving back to his community. He tutors young people in mathematics through Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in the Washington, D.C., area. Before moving to the United States, he assisted individuals affected by a tsunami through the Indian Red Cross Society. The Andhra Pradesh government subsequently acknowledged his efforts with a certificate of merit and a gold medal.

In his spare time, Mr. Tandra stays in shape through kickboxing. He also enjoys listening to music, bowling, and playing billiards.
