    Summary

    An experienced laboratory manager, Phillip Monk helps operate one of the United States Air Force's largest laboratories. As superintendent, he oversees more than 180 staff members across various departments and controls a budget valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. In preparation for his career, Phillip Monk studied at the USAF Medical Laboratory School in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he earned his medical laboratory science certificate. Later, Phillip Monk received his associate in applied science in medical laboratory science and his associate in applied science in human resource management from the Community College of the Air Force in Montgomery, Alabama. Most recently, he achieved his bachelor of science in Health Sciences at Trident University, from which he graduated magna cum laude. Complementing his academic degrees, Mr. Monk completed training in a variety of areas, including laboratory career development and airman leadership. He also gained on-the-job experience as a laboratory technician and laboratory noncommissioned officer in charge at military bases in the United States and abroad.
