Information technology (IT) systems expert Philippe Casciola currently serves as Head of IT at Credit Agricole CIB, where he leads a team of about 46 professionals. Mr. Casciola is responsible for networks and telecommunications; Unix, Windows, and Linux servers; data storage; applications support; and the help desk.
Previously, Philippe Casciola held a number of positions with New York City-based company Calyon, working as Director, Deputy of the IT Infrastructure Manager, and Network and Telecom Manager. Over the course of his seven years with the company, Mr. Casciola oversaw a number of important projects, system upgrades, and system implementations. He ran a team of 10 network and telecommunications engineers and acted as a liaison between the company?s business units and its IT infrastructure.
Prior to his tenure with Calyon, Philippe Casciola spent several years serving as the IT Infrastructure Manager for Credit Agricole Indosuez. This position put him at the head of a team of 16 technicians. Before that, Mr. Casciola lived and worked in Paris, France. From 1997 to 2000, he worked for Sysicom as a Network Consultant. For the prior two years, he was a consultant for Euriscom, where he spent a year instructing at Hewlett-Packard about the HP OpenView Platform and TCP/IP architecture. Earlier in his career, Philippe Casciola worked with Sernam as a UNIX Systems and Network Manager. He also functioned as a UNIX systems and Network Engineer for the Coverland-St Gobain Group. Mr. Casciola began his career as a System and Network Engineer for Solvay.
Philippe Casciola earned his Baccalaureate degree in Math and Science in 1981. He went on to earn his BTS in Information Technology from ESIG in Paris. Later, he attended the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, which is also located in Paris.
