    The owner of SJC Group, Inc., Peter Liota formerly served as a Detective in the New York Police Department and possesses 24 years of experience in law enforcement and personal security. Educated at St. John’s University’s Staten Island campus, Peter Liota earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Criminal Justice. In addition to his work as a Detective, Peter Liota received specialized training in protective security and dignitary protection through the New York Police Department. Peter Liota and SJC Group, Inc. have provided protection and security solutions to film-production companies, foreign dignitaries, corporate leaders, global statesmen, museums, art galleries, hotel groups, high-end retailers, and legal firms. The company also offers guest list and access control for special events and charity fund-raisers. Collectively, Peter Liota and the executive leaders at SJC Group, Inc. possess an average of 30 years of law enforcement experience. Accustomed to working in high-pressure and stressful environments, Peter Liota holds expertise in close protection, surveillance applications and detection, location screening, advance site analysis, and the secure transport of clientele. He ensures that all his agents and employees undergo an extensive background and security check. Licensed by the U.S. Department of State, the SJC Group remains fully bonded and insured. A former member of the United States Marine Corps, Peter Liota donates his time and energies to the Police Athletic League. Serving the youth of New York since 1914, the Police Athletic League operates head-start, day-care, truancy prevention, and juvenile justice and readjustment programs, as well as sponsors athletic activities.
