Owen Peery

I am currently a Computer Science and Graphic Design teacher in a public school in Philadelphia, PA in the United States. I am the network administrator and tech repair person as well. I also administer the web server.

I also started a store in Philadelphia called Jean-Jacques Gallery, with my partner Jean-Jacques Giret. We are a gift shop and sell contemporary functional art and jewelry. I have been learning and doing more and more web development. I would like to transition from teaching into web development. I have solid XHTML and CSS skills. I am learning javascript and php. I am a motivated hard working self starter. I have developed nearly 10 websites and serve as the web content editor for my school and web master for our web server.

We are planning to move to Toulouse, France. I would like to be able to work in web development either on my own or for a company. I can work on a contract basis and will be able to work in France too.

I have a BA from University of CA at Berkeley in History with a minor in City Planning.

I completed my MA in Education from Holy Names University but have yet to finish writing my thesis.

I am also open to teaching or tutoring English in Toulouse to supplement my income. I have 8 years teaching experience, including experience working teaching English to those whose first language is not English.
