A senior attending physician with the NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Morris Kharasch treats emergency room patients through four medical departments. He also serves as President of the NorthShore Professional Staff Office and sits on a number of NorthShore committees and internal organizations including the Graduate Medical Education Committee and the Psychiatry Task Force. Dr. Morris Kharasch has been a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 1993.
When he is not working directly with patients or handling various administrative functions, Dr. Morris Kharasch instructs the next generation of medical professionals as a clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He previously served as an associate professor in the Feinberg School of Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University Medical School. While teaching at Northwestern, he won multiple awards and had an award named after him. The Morris Kharasch Award is annual teaching honor bestowed by the graduating class of residents.
