I am 28 years-old and have held my current position with Hennepin County for the past 4+ years. I still find it rewarding and challenging to bring a group of people who, at times, share very few, if any, common interests. More rewarding still is to see that group of people come together toward a common goal, even if that goal is simply each of them getting through the day.
I believe in second chances and my job lets me put this into practice each day that I am there.
1 contactSince 2007 I have been able to affect postive changes in the lives of hundreds of offenders through the use of second chances and manual labor. During the course of an 8 hour work day I often find myself engaged with offenders about a variety of topics and I believe that it is my willingness to listen, as well as talk to them that can create unique opportunities for lasting change.
2005 - 2007Worked my way from Part Time Caregiver to Group Home Supervisor until settling in a middle management position that offered me the opportunity to work with a unique group of clients/consumers who required varying levels of care, supervision, programming, and equipment.
