I have worked in bio-pharmaceutical sales operations since the early 80's. I "carried a bag" for 5 years for Lederle Labs, which had dozens of products lines from OTC to oncology. I managed regions and a business unit, ran a national training department, directed managed care and reimbursement operations, working directly with CMS and FDA in managing policy, pricing and payment for drugs. I have worked for a national pharmaceutical lobbyist in key roles as my company and the industry worked with Congress to develop AWP reform and the subsequent Medicare Modernization Act. I have set up new US operations for foreign pharmaceutical companies, with an emphasis on sales regulatory issues. I have worked as lead on advocacy development for patients in healthcare.
