    Summary

Lianne McNally brings a diverse skill set and a wide range of professional experience to her work in development for nonprofits. She began her career in advertising and market research, where she was formally trained in account planning and qualitative consumer research. Lianne McNally went on to apply this training as the owner of a boutique marketing and copywriting business, which led her to the field of content creation and media production. As the producer of various industrial, promotional, news and entertainment pieces, including a retrospective on news legend Mike Wallace, Lianne McNally drew on her advertising background to understand the mass media audience. She worked on projects for network and cable, for clients such as CBS News, National Geographic and Showtime. Wishing to use her skills to make a positive impact, she began applying them in the nonprofit sector. As a writer and producer of humanitarian projects, Lianne McNally began working with SKIP of New York by directing a video describing their work to help medically fragile and developmentally disabled children. She became the organization's development director in the same year, and over the course of a two-year tenure put her communications and marketing skills in service of the organization’s fundraising, promotion and capacity building goals. In 2015, Ms. McNally returned to this position and led awareness-building projects, including a targeted video and new fundraising and advocacy initiatives.
