2001 - 2003Auspex Systems was the creator of the Network Attached Storage (NAS) market in the late 80's and led the market until a few years before its demise in 2001.
As a Marketing Manager at Auspex, I was part of a team that attempted to turn the company around during the last 3 years of its existence. Our team was the first in the industry to take a solutions approach to selling data storage. Understanding that hardware, software and services had become largely commoditized, our marketing team focused on delivering qualified solutions focused on particular horizonal and industry vertical markets. I was responsible for the launch and management of the markets focused on Microsoft solutions, email archiving, rich media, biotech and xSP/Internet.
