She contributes event management expertise to the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers, the state association sponsoring this event. With nearly 600 attendees and the highest level of funding support in its history, the three-day 2011 conference was the most successful to date. Kristi Sutterfield is the Conference Consultant and a member of the team that is responsible for planning and managing the Conference’s education sessions, exhibitions, fundraising partnerships, onsite logistics, and liaisons with keynote speakers. After graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Kristi Sutterfield accepted a Manager position with Red Carpet Real Estate and became a Partner at Watson & Associates, Inc. During her 8 years as a real estate broker in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she earned a place in the Top 10 Real Estate Agents ranking by Red Carpet Real Estate. Ms. Sutterfield’s profitable achievements in new home sales for custom builders propelled her into marketing master planned residential communities for Bon Terre Residential and Hunt Resources. After eight years in the corporate world, Kristi Sutterfield transitioned into association management, beginning with the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association, where she was instrumental in growing the membership base. Having demonstrated her executive abilities, Ms. Sutterfield assumed the position of Chief Executive for the statewide trade association Texas Association of Builders, a 14,000-member organization representing 33 local associations. In recognition of her track record of accomplishments, including award-winning advertisement and outreach campaigns, organization relationship-building, and exemplary educational programs, the National Association of Home Builders selected Kristi Sutterfield as its 2007 Executive Officer of the Year. In addition to her conference management work, Kristi Sutterfield is a much in-demand public speaker and trainer in her industry.
