A successful financial professional with many years of experience in the mortgage sector, Kevin Gasvoda currently serves as a founding partner of SG Capital Partners in Stamford, Connecticut. In this capacity, he oversees all operations at the firm and helps direct private capital to the US housing market. Through an extensive conduit correspondent network and affiliates, Kevin Gasvoda manages a team that acquires mortgage loans and related assets providing capital to the residential mortgage market. He also invests in a diverse array of assets, including mortgage servicing rights, mortgage-backed securities, and structured fixed-income instruments.
Before taking up his current responsibilities at SG Capital Partners, Kevin Gasvoda spent several years as a senior professional with Goldman Sachs & Co. A member of the boards or advisory committees of many Goldman Sachs portfolio companies and subsidiaries including Essent Group Ltd., he led the firm’s credit loan trading business for five years. Mr. Gasvoda oversaw the firm’s residential loan servicing company (Litton Loan Servicing) and the Goldman Sachs Strategic Portfolio Solutions Group.
Aside from his professional activities, Kevin Gasvoda currently serves on the board of the Darien Public Library and as the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Waterside School in Stamford. A former member of the Board of Darien Little League, he continues to coach youth sports teams in the Darien area.
Before commencing his tenure with Goldman Sachs, Mr. Gasvoda received his master of business administration in finance and business economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Chicago, and bachelor of science in finance, also summa cum laude, from the University of Colorado Boulder.
