I began virtual reality because of my curiosity for that part of computer sciences which made me choose this direction during my second year of study in Project Management at ITIN. I had a very instructive approach of the virtual reality world.
During my studies I made a state of the art of aptic interfaces and studied modeling and motion capture with Animazoo Europe. Then I practiced it during an internship in Finland where I realize an anti-tobacco ad for a local TV channel.
I continued my studies at Laval, France where I made the European Master in Numerical Modeling and Virtual Reality at ISTIA. I was involved in several projects that allowed me to learn many aspects of virtual reality.
I carried out my final year internship at the European Joint Research Centre in Italy over an 8 months period. The topic of the training was the "3D Tools for outside controls and checks". For the development of 3D scans analysis software for outside environment, the aim was to develop virtual reality tools making it possible to add new possibilities to the basic software and create significant value added stuff to the developed product. My work initially consisted in carrying out a preliminary study of the existing tools in order to evaluate the possibilities to develop virtual reality tools.
I also took part to Laval Virtual (International Conferences on Virtual Reality) as a student competitor (2004), an organizer (2005) and an exhibitor (2006). Next it will be as a professional to represent my company.
I am currently employed by Dassault Systèmes Inc (Canada) and I am working at Boeing in Seattle to develop a 3D software to configure airplanes using Virtools.
2011 - 2011Customer: Dassault Aviation - FRANCE
This Dassault Aviation project is to create a configuration and parts management tool for Dassault Aviation aircrafts.
The objective is to develop a web application that will allow aircraft configuration management according to customers’ orders as well as management of associated parts. It will enable Dassault Aviation to maintain a data base of parts to be able to track all the elements of an airplane and alert users for any change happening within the system.
• Currently :
o Get requirements
o Architecture analysis and design
o Enhancement of current functionalities
o Development of new functionalities
o Writing of design proposals
o Test and debug of application
o Application support
o Management of the project with Dassault Aviation
o Definition and estimates of deliverables and priorities
2006 - 2011Customer: Boeing - WA, USA
The project at Boeing consisted in developping a 3D configuration tool for the 787.
In order to improve the current configuration process, Boeing is developing a 3D configuration software dedicated to the 787 (for now) based on the 3DVIA Virtools technology. The client is walked through the process of creating a valid LOPA configuration according to Boeing’s and the FAA’s rules that will be used as a contractual document. The current process is manual and takes 6 to 8 months. Boeing’s goal is to bring down this configuration process to 2 or 3 weeks by automating most of it.
• May 2006 – December 2009 :
o Get requirements for eConfig
o Architecture analysis and design
o Writing of design proposals
o Development of new functionalities
o Test and debug of eConfig
o eConfig support
o Development of tools for the 3D pipeline
o Support of the different teams involved on the project

o Analysis of requirements for development of new functionalities in 3DVIA Virtools Dev
2005 - 2005Developed a conversion tool for 3D scanners data. Modelized 3D tools used in the company for presentations and conferences. Developed and manage new Virtools software to form users to the use of 3D terrestrial scanners.
2004 - 2004Realized an anti-tobacco advertisement for the Finnish television. Uses of STT motion captor system and a GIPSY to animate characters in the advertisement.
2003 - 2004Developed sales force softwares for Mc Cains Foods and Tyson Foods and management of Oracom web sites.
2002 - 2003Managed and developed 5 web sites associated with the magazines published by the company about cell phones PDA and wireless technology. Increased web sites frequentation from 200 000 to 1 200 000 visitors per month.
2001 - 2001Development of a multi-languages knowledge database with Java/JSP, MySQL database then DB2 database.
