    John Vermazen is an ambitious young professional actively developing his career interests un Gainesville, Florida. Mr. Vermazen’s work history includes the position of Junior Manager for the UPS Store in Gainesville. Initially serving the company as a Customer Service Representative, John Vermazen quickly achieved a managerial position as a result of his demonstrated leadership abilities. As Junior Manager, Mr. Vermazen oversaw all operations of a UPS Store franchise without supervision from the owner. His work entailed directly servicing customers, shipping packages, and handling computer services. John Vermazen served with the UPS Store from 2008 to 2009. Currently, the Stephen C. O’Connell Center employs John Vermazen as a member of the technical services and productions crew. In that position, Mr. Vermazen has gained leadership experience by helping to organize event crews and by assisting guests and customers. John Vermazen is responsible for helping to ensure that the technical aspects of live events are carried out safely and efficiently. As Mr. Vermazen continues to develop his resume and leadership skills, he hopes to establish a career quickly in a field such as research, business, or education. Educated at the University of Florida, John Vermazen completed his Bachelor of Arts in History in June 2011. Highly engaged in a variety of activities at the university, he belonged to organizations such as University of Florida Amnesty International and the University Economics Society. John Vermazen also previously taught with AmeriCorps as a Reading Tutor at Idyllwilde Elementary School. In his personal life, John Vermazen enjoys spending his free time reading, writing, and studying political science and history.
