John Perone

Currently a Partner with the respected law firm McMillan, Constabile, Maker & Perone, LLP, John Perone focuses on matters pertaining to matrimonial law, civil litigation, guardianship, real estate, commercial litigation, estate planning, and criminal law. Maintaining active participation with several professional organizations, including the Westchester County Bar Association, the Mamaroneck-Harrison-Larchmont Bar Association, and the Columbian Lawyers Association, John Perone operates as an esteemed legal professional and seasoned expert in his fields.
Completing his undergraduate coursework at Merrimack College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, John Perone went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Villanova University School of Law. Shortly thereafter, he gained admission to the New York State Bar Association and served as Assistant District Attorney for Westchester County, a position he held for four consecutive years. The scope of his role allowed Mr. Perone to grow his knowledge in the areas of misdemeanors and felony trials, including homicide cases. John Perone also acted as a Trial Assistant with the Felony Court Bureau and collaborated with the Appeals and Motions and Grand Jury Bureaus. His experience provided a solid base from which to launch iterative terms as elected Mamaroneck Town Councilman and New York State Assemblyman. Successful in four reelection campaigns, John Perone worked closely with the Authorities, Commissions, and Housing Committees as well as several educational and judiciary groups.
Within the last 25 years, Mr. Perone served as Appointed Council to New York Senators John Flynn and Nicholas Spano. His work as Acting Justice of the New York State Supreme Court further solidified his status as a valued and accomplished leader in the judicial community.
