Staff Geologist on the Long Canyon Project, Newmont Mining Corporation
After graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Geology in 2007 I have worked for Newmont Mining Corporation as a geologist performing Ore Control and working on the Long Canyon project.
I have experience geologic mapping of high walls and general terrains using traditional paper topo maps and mylar as well as using field tablets and ESRI's Arc9.1 and Arc10. Ore Control requires close cooperation with engineers, production and metallurgy personal to meet production goals for recovery and oz or lbs of gold and copper.
Currently I am working on the Long Canyon Project on the development team logging core and rc chips, modeling, assisting with drill logistics and providing geology support to Hydrologists.
prior to college and Newmont I was an Army Medic in the Oregon Army National Guard for 13 years. I worked as a Phlebotomist in a hospital for 4 years collecting samples from newborn to elderly. I am currently CPR certified and recently finished first responder class.
