Jeana Kim Reinbold
Senior Attorney, boutique real estate firm
Jeana serves as the chair of the bankruptcy department at Ablitt Scofield, PC, a boutique real estate and creditor's rights law firm based in Woburn, Massachusetts. In this role, she supervises a 12-person staff of lawyers and paralegals in the firm’s bankruptcy department, and oversees her group’s work in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Florida and Puerto Rico. Jeana has over 10 years of experience in consumer and commercial bankruptcy practice, and represents the firm's client base of local and national institutional lenders and banks in bankruptcy proceedings and litigation, creditors' rights matters, loan workouts and real estate transactions. She also serves on the executive committee of the firm.
Before accepting her current position, Jeana served as a bankruptcy and commercial litigation associate with several mid-sized and boutique law firms. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William C. Hillman of the United States Bankruptcy Court of the District of Massachusetts. In these roles, Jeana represented consumer and business debtors, creditors, trustees and other parties in practice before over 20 bankruptcy courts. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Chicago-Kent School of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Jeana has contributed to publications including the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal, Clearinghouse Review: Journal of Poverty Law and Policy, and the Loyola University Public Interest Law Reporter. She has also shared her expertise through presentations to industry organizations such as the National Business Institute and the Boston Bar Association.
