1994 - 2010Spearheaded the Packaging Development Group to facilitate the development of innovative packaging such as Fridge Pack or the innovative Z-Flute technology that generated up to $400MM in new business. Facilitate the integration of innovation tools and best practices into the Stage-Gate project management process for successful product commercialization. Implementation of cultural shift from traditional top-down innovation to consumer focused bottom-up innovation processes. Enhance and expand R&D product applications, and develop and implement innovation driven product development process.
Selected Contributions:
• Designed and implemented front-end innovation management process.
• Developed effective innovation partnerships with Coca Cola, AB/InBev, Miller/Coors, and Kraft Foods.
• Created the Global Innovation Center in Marietta, GA.
• Managed the Domestic Market Carton Design Department (14 designers).
• Fostered international carton design development.
• Established standards to interface carton design, machinery, and carton production.
• Implemented a worldwide web-based CAD/CAM system across Graphic Packaging International.
1990 - 1994• Started a new activity in ELCEDE FRANCE that represented 40% of the turnover of the company four (4) years later (FF23MM).
• Cooperated with APPLE COMPUTER to integrate their computers into ELCEDE FRANCE configurations.
• Developed and implemented a new innovative graphic software with a company called ARTWORK; this software (ARTPRO) is now the worldwide leader in professional graphics and repro houses.
• Oversaw the customization and debugging of ARTPRO software.
• Handled customer service and training.
1982 - 1989• Developed new concepts, including patents of new type of locks, handles, and packaging.
