Isabelle Garcia

I'm a french web designer and developer, recently moved to NYC to study English and apply to CUNY - City University of New York, after living and working for 7 years in Barcelona, Spain, where I learned fluent spanish.

I graduated from the « École Boulle, École supérieure des Arts Appliqués » of Paris in 2001 with degree in industrial design.

In 2002 I became involved with graphic design and illustration. My paintings and drawings were displayed in several exhibitions in Paris and Barcelona.

Near 2003, my enthousiasme for grafic design laid to an interest in multimedia and web development. Since then I've been studying lenguages like PHP or Javascript in some profesionnals trainings and working as a freelance web designer and web developer for several firms and institutions.

In 2004 I became one of the founders of « Colectivo piloto », a non profit organization that developes audiovisual activities in secondary and high schools and state institutes in barcelona. From its creation until I moved to NYC, I was in charge of the graphic design, creating and managing the websites for each projects.

I'm an adaptable and motivated person. I'm accustomed to learning quickly from different environments and remain engaged until the end in all projects I start. I love spending my free time with my computer, designing, programming and learning new things from the internet.
