I am an attorney currently employed by GE Consumer & Industrial in the role of Counsel, Commercial Law. I am admitted to practice law in several US jurisdictions. I specialize in commercial law, contracts, customs law, international trade, import compliance, and export controls; and am a licensed United States Customs Broker.
Before joining GE, I was Corporate Counsel to Gates Corporation / Tomkins plc where I provided legal counsel to all of the Tomkins companies as part of the Tomkins Law Department. (Link: www.tomkins.co.uk ) In that capacity I specialized in import-export compliance, international trade, customs law, commercial contracts and government affairs.
Prior to Tomkins, I was an Import Policy Analyst with the US Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Import Administration (Link: http://trade.gov/ia/index.asp ). Import Administration is the Department of Commerce’s lead unit in enforcing trade laws and agreements to prevent unfairly traded imports. These laws include the antidumping and countervailing duty laws, and WTO agreements.
I have a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver College of Law where I earned a concentration in International Law and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Boston University School of Management.
