Job Mission:
My objective is to own and grow the Middle East and North Africa region profitability through the acquisition and the management of inventory, prices and supplier relationships.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1.Build & Develop the Team
a.Good and pro-active team work.
b.High level of participation in all team and individual projects and meetings.
c.Provide the team and the Regional Manager with regular, constructive and relevant feedback.
d.Prepare and present high quality Market Business Reviews (MBR) supporting the market needs and trends.
e.Share all your best practices and knowledge with the team to increase the overall level of the team work.
2.Be Consumer Friendly
a.Ensure overall market rate competitiveness (30%/75% meet/beat rule will apply for top 80% suppliers).
b.Ensure overall market inventory level by exceeding the overall demand throughout the market (5% compression rule will apply).
c.Negotiate and secure market deals, exclusive promotions and dynamic rate rules (DRR) by meeting or exceeding Expedia Inc. Point of Sales (POS) merchandising requirements.
d.Negotiate and finalize all renewals in a timely and effective process as per each Regional goals and targets.
3.Be Supplier Friendly
a.High focus on internal and external relationships addressing the needs of our suppliers.
b.Train accordingly our suppliers to our Management Tools (Extranet, Direct Connectivity…) and to our Merchant Business Model.
c.Plan and execute regular and relevant Market Visits according to the Regional goals, targets and objectives.
d.Attend and participate to all relevant trade shows, workshops and local events to match the market needs and requirements.
e.Share relevant data and information with the suppliers to ensure a high level of communication and feedback to optimize the supplier performance.
4.Build Operational Excellence
a. Verify, analyze and understand all available data and reports by giving continuously feedback on the quality of the data.
b.Maintain and develop the high level of usage of “Salesforce”, our central supplier information database as per the Regional goals and targets.
c.Train and develop all our suppliers on our Safarclick Pay processes and tool.
d.Trainings: active participation to all trainings provided to you by the Company.
e.Follow and implement all Health & Safety standards in all respective markets.
5. Meet Revenue Growth Goal for the Market
a. Prospect New Hotels
b. Negotiate contracts ensuring competitive rates, allotments and cut offs.
6.Organize and Manage Shifting Market Needs
a. Working in conjunction with Market Managers (Revenue) develop winning relationships for the Market via meetings, analysis etc.
7.Complete all assigned projects
a. Facilitate completion of all assigned projects working with Regional Managers.
8.Summary
Responsible for the revenue growth of a segment of business, but will have no direct selling outlets into those markets.
Market Manager must use their resources to achieve these goals.
The resources include team members, hotels and contracts, marketing tools, relationship building, Senior Management support and their own sles and negotiating ability.
Contacts:
This position has frequent interaction with external suppliers on the property level. Daily interactions with other team members and various critical departments and teams within Safarclick. In many cases, interactions with both internal and external parties will be at mid and upper management levels.
