Gyasi Foluke
Minister (Dr.) Gyasi A. Foluke
I am a nontraditional Minister (Cosmic Christian), community activist, author-lecturer-consultant (four published nonfiction books--writing on two more), part-time Minister of Liberation/CEO of a wholistic development corporation in Charlotte, NC, former Adjunct Professor of Black Studies at six universities-colleges nationwide, "retired" Air Force Social Actions Officer (Chief of Training, USAF School of Social Actions), former non-profit CEO, including two Affiliates of the National Urban League and two official anti-poverty agencies in Fort Worth, Texas and Jackson, Mississippi respectively.
My current focus, in conjunction with community activism, writing-promoting books, is conducting seminars, workshops and power point presentations on wholistic--spirit, mind, body--development in the context of the African American experience, with a special emphasis on "The Cradle of Civilization" in the Nile Valley of ancient Africa, B.C.E., including "The Old time Religion," the title of one of my books, or "Secret Divinity" of our great African ancestors in this geographical area.
Titles of published books:
1. "The Real-Holocaust: A Wholistic Analysis of the African American Experience, 1441-1994" (1995);
2. "The Old Time Religion: A Wholistic Challenge to the Black Church" (1997); (Note: This work was stolen by a bankrupt publisher, but is being reconstructed under a slightly different title and significantly different subtitle.)
3. "The Crisis and Challenge of Black Mis-education in America: Confronting the Destruction of African People Through Euro-centric Public Schools" (2001);
4. "The Scoundrel Syndrome: Essays on the African American Experience, 1996-2003, Revisiting The Real-Holocaust" (2004)
Books to be completed in late 2007 or early 2008:
1. "Truths My Teacher Never Told Me: A Critique of Two Textbooks on World and U.S. History."
2. "A Wholistic Freedom Agenda: Practical Remedies for Racial Justice, Beyond Empty Rhetoric, with a Special Focus on Charlotte-Mecklenburg, North Carolina."
