Mr. Imbruce is a Managing Director at ASYM Energy Partners LLC, a private investment firm focused on opportunities within the North American energy industry, with a focus on the oil and natural gas exploration and production, refining, and oil service sectors. Prior to ASYM, Mr. Imbruce was a Managing Director at a private family office, where he managed energy asset investments and directed acquisitions, drilling programs, and other investments across the capital structure in private and public companies. From 2005-2006, Mr. Imbruce was Portfolio Manager for Talek Investments (BBT Fund LP) where he managed a $200 million energy portfolio consisting of equity, high yield securities, and special situations. From 2001-2005, he was a Vice President and the Senior High Yield Energy/Power Research Analyst for Jefferies & Company, Inc., where he focused on the distressed debt of companies including Enron, Calpine, Mirant, Dynegy, Ram Energy, Northern Offshore, Mission Resources and Crown Central Petroleum among other corporate issuers. Mr. Imbruce was a Senior Financial Analyst from 1998 to 1999 at Stratum Group L.P., an energy private equity firm owned by The Beacon Group. Between 1995 and 1998, Mr. Imbruce was the Energy Senior Analyst for Wexford Capital where he worked closely with its Chairman in trading energy equities and high yield securities in addition to direct energy investments, including E&P, shipping, and onshore/offshore rigs, directly and via private equity, distressed debt, and special situations.
From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Imbruce was a financial analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in the Power and Infrastructure Group. Mr. Imbruce is also the founder of Starboard Resources Inc. and on the Board of the National Emphysema Foundation. Mr. Imbruce graduated from Lehigh University in 1993 with an Economics degree, where he also won the 1992 Musser Student Entrepreneur Award for Student of the Year.
