I am the Secretary General for the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Through this role, I am also involved in a number of different organizations promoting trade, foreign investment, and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. I serves as Assistant Deputy Minister of Ministry of the Municipality and Rural Affairs for Programming and Planning and is Head of the Privatization Program for Municipal activities of the Ministry. I am also a Consultant for Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) and Arbitrator of the International Trade Competition by the World Chambers Federation (WCF), where i sits on the organization’s permanent steering committee.
A Board Member of the Saudi Standards and Quality Authority, the Electricity Regulatory and Dual Production Authority, the Saudi Exports Development Center, and the Prince Naif Prize Committee for Saudization. As Secretary General, i sit on the board of 32 international Saudi and foreign joint business councils, including the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council. Director of Al Jaheeh Foundation Saudi Arabia through which i seek investment opportunities and provide funding to companies, individauls and entrepreneurs.
In addition, i am a Board Member of the King Abdul Aziz Higher Committee for Quality Award, the Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Youth Businessmen Award, the Almarae Science Innovation Award, and the Health Charity for Patients (CARE).
I have published more than 30 articles and books focused on the economies of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and the issues of globalization. and have delivered a number of lectures around the world, including in the U.S., Russia, China, Japan, India, Malaysia, Germany, Britain, France, and South Africa, among others. I am a Member of a number of scientific societies, including the American Management Society, the American Society for Quality, WARIA, the Saudi Society for Management, the National Saudi Quality Society, and the Arabian Association for Administration Science.
I have received a PhD in Development Administration and General Management from the University of New York in Albany.
