    Management professional Evgeny Romakin began his university education in Moscow, Russia. Attending the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology, he completed the chemical engineering undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, Evgeny Romakin took eight additional courses in economics and finance before graduating with his master of science. After moving stateside, he enrolled at Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2010. Excelling in the graduate program, Mr. Romakin graduated with his master of business administration (MBA) and a 3.7 grade point average (GPA). Subsequently, he completed The Association for Operations Management’s supply chain management program to earn his CSCP certification. With 15 years of sourcing, procurement, contracts and category management experience, Evgeny Romakin joined Amazon in 2014. Serving as the worldwide capital procurement manager, he is responsible for coordinating and purchasing products and services that meet the needs of the company’s engineering team and developing sustainable cost-savings strategies. In addition, he oversees global sourcing initiatives that affect business operations.
