Eileen Consorti
M.D., Eileen T. Consorti, M.D., M.S.
A native of California, Eileen Consorti, MD, attended San Diego State University for her undergraduate studies. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, she enrolled at the California State University in Northridge Eileen Consorti, MD, excelled in the program, earning the Sigma Xi Award before finishing with a Master of Science in Chemistry. She subsequently studied medicine at the Stritch School of Medicine at Chicago’s Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1993. From there, Eileen Consorti, MD, spent four years at the University of Minnesota Medical School immersed in an internship and residency in general surgery. In 1996, she garnered the Research Training Grant Award from the National Institute of Health and completed a yearlong research fellowship under Dr. David J. McConkey and Dr. S. Eva Singletary at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Eileen Consorti, MD, stayed in Houston to undergo a three-year residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where she served as the Chief Resident in her final year. After finishing the program, she remained at the institution as a member of the volunteer clinical faculty and began practicing at the local Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. In 2002, Eileen Consorti, MD, relocated to her home state of California and accepted a position with Kaiser Permanente in Richmond. She joined the practice of Dr. Lisa Bailey one year later and began playing a large role in the local medical community.
For the last eight years, Eileen Consorti, MD, has taught in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. In addition, she volunteers her services to Operation Access, a local initiative to provide medical care to the underprivileged and uninsured populations. Eileen Consorti, MD, established her own private practice in 2005 and continues to manage the facility in Berkeley, California. Aside from the work at her own facility, Dr. Consorti also contributes to the nearby Alameda Hospital and the Summit Medical Center. She started with Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in 2008 as the Chief of General Surgery and has since taken over as the Chair of Surgery.
