Edward Rovera
Health Informatics Specialist, San Francisco State University School of Nursing
I am developing the Technology Learning Classrooms (TLCs) for medical simulation training for the School of Nursing (SoN). I work directly with the design and development of the teaching scenarios employed by the clinical instructors. I act as the SoN’s technology specialist, organizing the school’s data requirements, designing their data collection and reporting requirements, and advising the staff and faculty on process improvement strategies.
The most enjoyable part of my work is developing the simulation scenarios and running the computer-controlled mannequins for the nursing students. I program mannequins for a living! What could possibly be more fun than that?
