    Summary

    A physician active in global health, Dr. James C. Johnston established Global NeuroCare, a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to improving access to neurological care for people in developing countries. This not-for-profit operates by establishing collaborative partnerships with medical institutions in the developing world to help them create self-sustaining neurological services. Dr. James C. Johnston's organization works closely with providers in Ethiopia to improve neurological care in that nation. Dr. James C. Johnston is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Board Certified in Neurology with Additional Certification in Rehabilitative Medicine. He is a Fellow of both the Australasian College of Legal Medicine and the American College of Legal Medicine, and holds membership in numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Neurorehabilitation, World Association of Medical Law, and the New Zealand Law Society. He is widely published with over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, editorials, reports and book chapters. Dr. Johnston maintains a private practice as a consultant neurologist and attorney, and is the founding partner of Global Neurology Consultants. He is an Honorary Professor of Neurology at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.
