A Lieutenant Colonel in the Georgia Air National Guard, Dr. Paul Syribeys participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Flight Surgeon. The Commander of the 158th Air and Ground Expeditionary Medical Squadron in Iraq and Afghanistan, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Syribeys has served the United States as a Flight Surgeon for over a decade. Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Inc. and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Paul Syribeys is also a Member Candidate of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The largest plastic surgery association in the world, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons works to promote the standards, training, and ethics of plastic surgeons. Currently a Candidate Group Participant of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Paul Syribeys is working towards becoming a Fellow in the College. Representing the future leadership of the College, Candidate Group Participants like Dr. Paul Syribeys have access to the educational services offered by the College and can participate in chapter activities. In addition to his duties in the Georgia Air National Guard, Dr. Paul Syribeys works as a physician at Renaissance Plastic Surgery, P.C. in Macon, Georgia. One of the region’s premier centers for cosmetic, reconstructive, and plastic surgery, Renaissance Plastic Surgery, P.C. offers state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that serve the residents of Georgia, North Florida, and Alabama. Dr. Paul Syribeys received his Bachelor of Science from The Citadel in South Carolina. One of a class of approximately 160 medical students admitted to the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Paul Syribeys completed his Doctor of Medicine in 1998. Following a five-year surgical residency at the Greenville Hospital System, Dr. Paul Syribeys received a three-year fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Emory University Healthcare.
