About him

After nearly 13 years of experience as a general pediatrician, Dr. Jay Schwartz founded his own practice in 2007. As the sole owner of Collins County Pediatrics, located in Frisco, Texas, he endeavors to provide the best possible healthcare for children with a welcoming office, a friendly medical staff, and state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Jay Schwartz operates his clinic in adherence to the principle that his team members interact with their young patients as though the children were their own.

Throughout his career in medicine, Dr. Jay Schwartz has used his training in pediatrics to obtain a number of prominent jobs within the medical field. Starting out, he performed for the U.S. Air Force as a Pediatrician at the Dyess Air Force Base hospital in Texas, specifically in the 7th Medical Group, 7th Bomber Wing. He then fulfilled a position in Avon, Indiana, working as a Staff Pediatrician for Hendricks Regional Health. For almost nine years, Dr. Jay Schwartz functioned as a General Pediatrician for Midland Pediatric Associates, where he rose to the title of Chief of Pediatrics and also acted as the Physician Director for the Midland Independent School District from 2001 to 2006.

Dr. Jay Schwartz has received several awards from Vitals.com, a web service created to provide consumers with the necessary resources to make educated decisions when choosing their doctors. He was granted the Vitals.com Award in 2008, 2009, and 2010 as well as the On-Time Doctor Award and the Compassionate Doctor Award in 2010. A member of Centennial Medical Center, Dr. Jay Schwartz also serves on the Executive Board and is involved with the Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, a medical institute that functions as an alternative to a traditional hospital with its superior standards of patient care.
