    Summary

    Donald Gomsi, a tennis instructor and club manager, serves as executive director with the San Diego Division of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA). In his leadership capacity, he organizes social and teaching events and manages the website. Complementing the above, Donald Gomsi provides professional lessons through Carmel Valley Tennis. In fact, his background teaching tennis to California residents goes back decades. Before joining Carmel Valley, he served the Barnes Tennis Center as tennis instructor and the Harbor Bay Tennis Club as tennis professional. In preparation for his career, Donald Gomsi enrolled at San Diego State University, where he played varsity tennis for four years on his way to earning his bachelor of science in environmental health. Continuing his education, he secured his master of science in biology from the same university. While a graduate student, he supported himself by providing tennis lessons and competing in tennis tournaments. Over his time as an athlete, Mr. Gomsi has earned several awards, including Pro of the Year from the California Division of the USPTA.
