Don Parris
LEED Project Administrator & Security Officer
I am a LEED Accredited Professional Operations & Maintenance, security officer, pastor, and journalist. Over the course of the past two years, personal circumstances and my security position have led me into the Facility Management arena, with a focus on sustainable building operations.
Over the course of 15 years, I have grown from providing contract security service to coordinating an alternative commute transportation program and working as the project administrator for a LEED for Existing Buildings project. My award-winning efforts with respect to the outreach program, as well as achieving the LEED AP O+M credential, demonstrate initiative, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to go above and beyond expectations.
I have spent time as a Free/Open Source Software journalist and web community moderator, which contribute to my ability to research issues and lead discussions, moderating fairly when necessary. I am known for being patient and fair, but also able to stand firm on my commitments.
