Born in France during World War II, Charles Fridman immigrated to the United States as a teenager. Initially employed in the construction industry, Charles Fridman completed his GED through night school and eventually built a successful career in real estate and property management.

As the President of Shalimar Management Corp., based in New York City, Charles Fridman is involved in all aspects of the Company’s business, including acquisition, construction, and management of a rental portfolio with over 300 multi-family units. Charles Fridman has participated in real estate since 1960, starting his career by building and selling pizzerias and deli take-outs. Charles Fridman bought his first property in 1978, and since that time, he has purchased and renovated over 25 other buildings throughout the New York City area.

Most recently, Charles Fridman began planning an eco-friendly hotel to be built in downtown Manhattan, and which will be partially powered by an extensive network of solar panels on its exterior.
