Bob Jain is currently the Co-Head of Securities at Credit Suisse Group AG, an international Investment Bank that performed relatively well throughout the financial crisis, through its careful management of risk. Bob Jain has run Credit Suisse's Global Proprietary Trading Business since 2004; the bank has spun out some of the world most successful proprietary traders, such as Alan Howard of Brevan Howard fame, and Michael Hintze of CQS.

Bob Jain also is responsible for Global Equities Trading Products and Risk in its New York office's Investment Banking division. As Bloomberg noted in January 2006, Bob Jain's contributions to Credit Suisse Group AG enabled it to strongly develop its proprietary capabilities. Credit Suisse has had many recent successes in its Securities division, especially in Equities, and has had one of the highest ROE's in the industry since the crisis. In addition, Bob Jain sits on the Credit Suisse Management Council and the Global Equity Management Committee, and sits on or chairs various risk committees throughout the Bank.

When he is not working, Bob Jain commits himself to numerous charitable interests. Bob Jain is currently a Trustee of the Rubin Museum of Art, which collects, preserves, and exhibits work created in the Himalayas. Bob Jain also served as an integral part of the launch of a community charter school. He continues to support Hunter College High School, from which he graduated before entering Cornell University. Bob Jain earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cornell University in 1992. Prior to joining Credit Suisse Group AG, Bob Jain served as an Options Trader with O'Connor & Associates. Bob Jain is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Bob Jain joined the Bank in January 1996 as a Vice President and Head of Index Arbitrage in the Americas and has also worked in the London office. Prior to his current roles, Bob Jain was Head of Arbitrage Strategies, Program Trading and Advanced Execution Services in Equities. He began his career at O'Connor & Associates as an Options Trader. Bob Jain received his B.A. in Political Science from Cornell University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
