    An experienced manager, Robert (Bob) Bratt currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of US Operations for DLA Piper in Washington, DC. Created through a 2005 merger, DLA Piper employs more than 4,000 attorneys worldwide. In his leadership role, Robert Bratt oversees the firm’s American engagements and works to streamline global processes and ensure uniformity. Previously, Robert Bratt oversaw the activities of more than 2,000 contractors and employees as a Managing Partner for Unisys in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. He maintained responsibility for the organization’s civilian and homeland security business lines, which comprised two-thirds of the company’s revenue. In this position, he increased profitability, developed business, and improved operations. He joined the company as Lead Civilian Partner and substantially increased the firm’s work for the United States Department of Justice from $10 million to $60 million. Over the past 30 years, Robert Bratt has built a career in the public and private spheres. He accepted his first professional role with the United States Department of Justice in 1978, and took on a series of increasingly senior posts before transitioning to the private sector. In 2000, after more than 20 years with the Department of Justice, Bob Bratt joined Science Application International Corporation (SAIC) as a Vice President. Before starting his professional career, Bob Bratt attended Towson University in Maryland. He studied business and accounting, and earned a Bachelor’s degree. In his free time, Bob Bratt enjoys a variety of sports, including running, cycling, and basketball. He also works out daily and goes skiing during the winter months. In the summer, he enjoys surfing.
