    •Brought into production the first United States orange grove development for Cutrale Citrus, the world’s largest citrus grower.
    •Advised farmland owners and potential investors by developing financial models of possible land purchases; conducted on the ground due diligence on the properties.
    •Spoke on US agricultural investment at Global Ag conferences in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and New York.

About him

A pioneer in no-till farming in the Western United States, Benedict T. Palen, Jr., currently serves as co-owner and manager of Great Plains Farms, LLC, in Denver, Colorado. In this capacity, he evaluates, purchases, and operates grazing land and farmland in the Western Great Plains, as well as advising farmland owners and potential investors on possible land purchases. Benedict T. Palen, Jr.’s, career accomplishments also include performing site preparation work for the first American orange grove development by Cutrale Citrus, the world's largest citrus farmer.

Mr. Palen holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Kansas and a juris doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago. A former board member of the University of Kansas Alumni Association, he currently serves as the co-chair of the Honors Program Advisory Board at the University of Kansas. Mr. Palen also supports a number of charitable organizations, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Denver Rescue Mission, and the Salvation Army.
