A graduate of the City University of New York School of Law, Barbara Katsos has operated the Law Offices of Barbara H. Katsos, PC, since 1997. Her firm specializes in estate planning and in assisting businesses owned by women. In addition, she has served as a court-appointed referee for the Queens County Supreme Court and is listed as a privately paid law guardian for New York County. A former professional educator with a PhD in education administration, Barbara Katsos simultaneously operates Teba Associates, Inc., an educational consulting firm working with public, private, and parochial schools.
A member of numerous professional organizations, Barbara Katsos belongs to the New York Women’s Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, and the Bar Association of the City of New York. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Eastern and Southern District Courts of New York, and the Supreme Courts of New York and Pennsylvania. Among her community commitments, she served as a board member of Columbia University’s Program in Hellenic Studies. In 2009, an interview with Barbara Katsos was published in a new section of the National Herald focusing on notable Greek American female executives called “Gynaika,” the Greek word for woman.
