Amir Pirnia serves as the vice president of engineering at Hixme Insurance Solutions in Los Angeles, California. With over a decade and a half of experience in information technology, Amir Pirnia is a knowledgeable software architect and programmer with a particular interest in helping startups develop from initial formation into viable organizations.
After working as a software developer and engineer for more than 10 years, Mr. Pirnia earned an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As a result, he has held multiple leadership roles within the organizations for which he has worked. One of the first 20 employees at LegalZoom, he was instrumental in tripling the size of the company’s information technology and software development department.
Subsequent to his work at LegalZoom, Mr. Pirnia worked as vice president of engineering for mobile and web platforms at Age of Learning. There, he oversaw the team that developed and launched a children’s educational app on multiple platforms. Additionally, he spearheaded the app’s introduction to the Chinese market, being sure to adhere to the appropriate rules and regulations. In his current role at Hixme, Mr. Pirnia’s primary responsibilities include directing the organization’s technology strategy and business development. His hands-on approach to management, combined with his extensive knowledge of engineering, makes him an effective liaison between technology and business solutions.
